WORLD IN BRIEF : SOUTH AFRICA : Young Blacks Stab 8 Whites in Durban

Blacks armed with knives went on a rampage in the coastal city of Durban South Africa, and stabbed eight whites, raising the specter of new racial violence. About 20 young blacks stole the knives from a store specializing in weapons from Asia and began stabbing people along a street near the beach. Two suspects were shot and wounded by police, and seven were arrested.
