The Green Bay Packers traded former No. 1 draft pick Brent Fullwood to the Cleveland Browns for a draft choice.

Said Coach Lindy Infante: “We need a running back we can put on the field and leave on the field for the duration and be productive.”

Fullwood pulled himself out of Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears after two carries, complaining of a sore throat and upset stomach.

Miami Dolphin Mark Clayton will be credited with a reception in Sunday’s game against the Jets. Clayton made a 10-yard catch at midfield in the first half, but the Miami statistical crew thought the Dolphins had accepted a 10-yard penalty that negated the play. Clayton appealed; his team-record streak catches in 56 consecutive games was at stake. . . . Former USC All-American tackle Dave Cadigan of the Jets will undergo months of rehabilitation after tearing a ligament in his right knee Sunday against Miami.
