COSTA MESA : Director to Discuss British Museum
Elizabeth Esteve-Coll, director of Britain’s famed Victoria and Albert Museum, will speak today at Orange Coast College.
Esteve-Coll was appointed director in 1988 and is credited with enhancing the museum’s reputation for scholarship. She plans to discuss the historical context of the museum, its collections and the general role of museums today.
Her presentation is sponsored by the Festival of Britain, a British arts and consumer goods promotion this month in Orange County.
The free lecture will be from 1 to 3 p.m. in the college’s Fine Arts Hall 119.
