ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc.: The Costa Mesa firm, which makes drugs and medical diagnostic products and engages in biotechnology research, said its third-quarter loss of $5.5 million was more than double its loss in the same quarter a year ago. Sales rose 47% to $63 million. The company said unfavorable currency exchange adjustments lowered its results.
