CIVIC FESTIVALS: Bellflower will celebrate its 33rd birthday of incorporation with its annual Liberty Week, including the Miss Bellflower Pageant to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the William Bristol Civic Auditorium, 16600 Civic Center Drive.

Montebello will celebrate 70 years as an incorporated city with its annual Heritage Festival next weekend featuring a carnival, a 5-K run and 3-K walk, the traditional Parade Royal, and fireworks at the City Park, 1300 W. Whittier Blvd.
