Brajdas Corp. Narrows Loss in 2nd Quarter

Share

Brajdas Corp., a Woodland Hills electronic components distributor, said it narrowed its loss in the second quarter ended Aug. 31 to $61,638 from $422,930 a year earlier. The company said its sales dropped 25% to $12 million from $16 million a year ago.

For the six months ended Aug. 31, Brajdas said it lost $180,702 on sales of $24 million, compared to a loss of $416,402 on sales of $32 million in the same period a year before.

In a statement, Allan Klein, Brajdas’ vice president of operations and administration, attributed the narrowing of Brajdas’ losses to lower overhead and a reduction of sales of products “that do not afford acceptable profit margins.”
