David R. Lawson has joined Sanyo Icon, an Irvine computer company, as marketing communications director. He will be responsible for the company’s advertising, public relations and related promotional activities. Previously, he operated his own communications consulting business for five years in San Diego. He has also worked at Megatek Corp., San Diego, and AM Jacquard Systems, Santa Monica.
