Aril Group Makes Offer for Alpha: The small New York industrial holding company has made the unsolicited offer to buy business-computer maker Alpha Microsystems Inc. for $10 million in cash plus stock, the company announced. The offer sent Alpha’s stock soaring 66% to close at $2.50 per share, up $1 in over-the-counter trading. An executive of the Santa Ana-based firm called the offer inadequate.
