Precedent-Setting Pot Case Ends in Guilty Plea

A man who lost a battle in the U.S. Supreme Court fighting police use of helicopters to spot marijuana has pleaded guilty to growing and owning the drug.

Michael Riley, 35, closed a six-year-old, precedent-setting case when he pleaded guilty in Pasco Circuit Court to marijuana cultivation and possession. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and four years’ probation.
