Bush OKs Repairs for Kennedy Center

WASHINGTON —
President Bush signed legislation Monday authorizing up to $47 million for maintenance, repairs and alterations at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts over the next two years.
The measure would allow more than $30 million to be spent in the current fiscal year and the year following for deferred maintenance and repairs at the arts center on the Potomac River.
It also authorizes $6.75 million this year and $9.9 million next year for annual maintenance, repairs and other costs.
