COLLEGE FOOTBALL REPORT : UCLA : Kelly Added to Injured List
Coach Terry Donahue said that defensive tackle Brian Kelly suffered an ankle injury in Saturday’s game against California at Berkeley and might be inactive for two weeks.
Defensive end Mike Chalenski, linebacker Arnold Ale and offensive guard Vaughn Parker didn’t play against Cal because of injuries. There’s a possibility that Chalenski and Ale will play against Oregon State Saturday at the Rose Bowl. Parker is doubtful.
Center Lance Zeno has torn tendons in a foot and played only in the second half against Cal. “He plays with with a special shoe to relieve some of the strain on his foot,” Donahue said. “It’s a slow-healing injury.”
Tailback Brian Brown has a thigh bruise and his practice time will be limited. But he is expected to play Saturday.
