Capital Cities-ABC Inc.: The New York-based communications company said its third-quarter income slumped 11.3% to $71.7 million, although revenue jumped 10% to $1.21 billion. It blamed the profit drop on a sizable loss that its ESPN cable TV subsidiary incurred in its coverage of Major League baseball.
