UPS Takes On Fed-Ex: United Parcel Service announced that it will match the delivery and pickup times of overnight delivery competitor Federal Express Corp. The company used to guarantee delivery by noon and would pick up packages the day after a customer called. A Federal Express spokeswoman downplayed the threat, saying the announcement was “another question of them playing catch-up.”
