Irvine Has Youth Day Saturday

There should be plenty of catfish for Kid’s Day anglers Saturday at Irvine Lake, part of the Red Ribbon Committee of Orange County’s weeklong promotion of “a positive attitude” for youngsters.

The lake will admit children and adults accompanying children, wearing a red ribbon, at the half-price of $5. Children under 7 will be admitted free.

Recent catches include a 19 3/4-pound catfish by A.C. Price of Lynwood and a 13-pounder by Edgar Wilson of Carson.
