San Marino : Annexation Opposed
Four City Council members said they oppose allowing two nearby county neighborhoods to join the city through annexation.
The council members, after hesitating to state their positions, finally came out against annexation of the San Pasqual Street neighborhoods last Thursday during a hearing before a capacity crowd at the Huntington Junior High School auditorium.
The council is faced with five different annexation proposals for various unincorporated areas, including two in the San Pasqual Street area. Thursday’s hearing was called to measure the public’s reaction to the San Pasqual proposals.
Mayor Suzanne Crowell was absent.
