Palos Verdes Estates Plans Celebrations
The 51st anniversary of the founding of Palos Verdes Estates and the 60th anniversary of the opening of Roessler Pool will be celebrated Saturday and Sunday at Roessler Pool. Founder’s Night, 5:30 p.m. Saturday, will feature a buffet dinner, with music by the James Sitterly Quartet. After dinner, music for dancing will be played by Le Hot Club.
Sunday’s activities begin at noon with a family pool party, including swimming, food, beverages, a steel-drum band and “Rubber Ducky Races” in the pool at 3 p.m.
Tickets for the Founders’ Night dinner are $50 each. Admission to the Sunday pool party is free, but beverages and food will be sold. For information or reservations, call 378-8697.
