Airlines: Two carriers blamed higher fuel costs for losses in the third quarter. Chicago-based Midway Airlines Inc. said it lost $18.7 million, compared to a $1.9-million loss in the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 37% to $166.6 million. Phoenix-based America West Airlines said it lost $21.9 million, contrasted with a profit of $5.8 million in the same period last year. Revenue rose 39% to $338.7 million.
