It’s a Pleasure: A budding Costa Mesa publishing firm has released the nation’s first directory of U.S. pleasure-boat manufacturers.
The Davis/Overstreet Co. began shipping out the 182-page, pocketbook-size directory this week to about 60,000 members of marine trade associations across the country and to their 20,000 overseas counterparts. Most of the copies were shipped free of charge.
The directory will be published annually and retail for $15, said Ernestine Davis, owner and publisher of Davis/Overstreet.
Davis started her company last year after a 30-year nursing career at various hospitals in Orange County.
