NATION : Bartender Gets $25,000 Tip
Bartender Keith Thomlinson got the biggest tip of his life last week--a lottery ticket worth $25,000.
Lottery officials said today that Thomlinson, 42, a bartender at the Green House Inn and Restaurant, scratched off a Rhode Island lottery Baseball game ticket while cleaning the bar Friday and discovered he had won $25,000.
The ticket was a gift Thursday night from Newport resident Russell Clark, who frequents bars and often leaves lottery tickets as tips, according to Ray Grimes, deputy director of the Rhode Island lottery.
