Cigna Corp.: The Philadelphia-based insurance and financial services company reported a third-quarter profit of $11 million, down 91.7% from the like period of 1989. Sales for the third quarter rose 15% to $4.69 billion from a year ago. The company said it was “battered” by $98 million in one-time expenditures.
