Two men and a juvenile have been arrested as suspects in the robbery of two Vietnamese women at their Linda Vista home, San Diego police said Thursday.

Trug Van Nguyen, 36, and Phul Diam Hai, 20, were arrested late Wednesday at their residence in the 3700 block of 52nd Street, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested at a house in the 4200 block of 54th Street.

Sam Tran, 75, and her daughter, Mai Thanh Do, 38, were bound and robbed Tuesday by intruders armed with a knife and gun and wearing black clothing and black-knitted masks, Robinson said. As the men ransacked the house looking for valuables, they stabbed the older woman in the calf and beat the daughter. Two necklaces the women were wearing, valued at $1,000 total, were stolen.

Nguyen and Hai are being held at the downtown jail in lieu of $15,000 bail each; the juvenile was taken to Juvenile Hall. The three are being held on suspicion of residential robbery. They are not believed to be a part of a gang or to have committed other residential robberies, Robinson said.
