Sale Rumors Boost Orion Stock: Orion Picture Corp. shares rose nearly 17% to $11.25 in heavy trading on speculation that the troubled company may be sold. Financial analysts said Orion is seen as the next logical acquisition target since MGM/UA has been purchased and talks are under way to sell MCA. Orion recently retained Salomon Bros. to assist in evaluating its strategic alternatives. An Orion spokesman declined comment on the sales rumors.
