J. Patrick Galvin Jr. has been appointed vice president and general counsel for Messenger Investment Co. in Irvine, a builder specializing in commercial and industrial projects. He previously served as western regional counsel for Union Pacific Realty Co., and before that, was a real estate attorney with the law firm of Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory.
