K-Swiss Earnings Jump 68% During 3rd Quarter

K-Swiss Inc., a Pacoima maker of athletic shoes and other footwear, reported a 68% jump in third-quarter earnings on a 38% increase in sales.

In the quarter that ended Sept. 30, K-Swiss’ net income rose to $3.12 million from $1.86 million a year earlier, while its sales climbed to $31.6 million from $22.9 million.

K-Swiss’ profit for the first nine months of this year totaled $6 million, up 49% from $4.04 million a year earlier, and its nine-month sales rose 41% to $78.6 million from $55.6 million the previous year.
