NATION : Kennedy Jr. Finally Passes Bar
John F. Kennedy Jr. hopes now that folks will stop calling him “the hunk that flunked.”
The son of the slain President learned over the weekend that he passed the New York Bar examination after failing it the first two times.
“I got the word. I’m very relieved,” Kennedy, 29, said today, managing a grin at a crowd of reporters and photographers waiting for him as he arrived for work at the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
If Kennedy had failed the bar exam again, he would have lost his $30,000-a-year job, and his chances of passing on the third try had been a point of conversation for weeks.
