Bill Parcells, coach of the Giants, and quarterback Phil Simms are intense competitors who have argued before and undoubtedly will again.
“We usually have a couple of good conversations every game,” Simms said. “Me and Bill yell at each other all the time. It’s an emotional game played by emotional people.”
What made their latest argument unusual was the stage: a close-up on national television during the Giants’ 24-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts Monday night.
The audience saw Parcells in full rage getting it right back from his 34-year-old quarterback.
“We talk from time to time” is the way Parcells described the incident, which was shown in detail by ABC.
