A judge Friday ordered four former members of the San Diego Job Corps program to be tried together on multiple robbery charges in incidents at the border involving migrant workers.

Previously, the trial of Jason MacAllister, who recently turned 18 but was 17 at the time of the incidents, had been set separately from the other three defendants, all of whom are adults.

MacAllister, who formerly headed a teen-age paramilitary group that was featured on a television program, was ordered Oct. 2 to stand trial as an adult.

San Diego Superior Court Judge Jesus Rodriguez set a Jan. 22 trail date for the four defendants, who also include Ruben Saucedo, 20; William Barnes, 24, and Donald Young, 22.

The men are charged with seven counts of robbery and four counts of attempted robbery in the Aug. 30 incidents.

All remain in custody.
