Industry : Street Light Districts May Be Merged
The consolidation of several street light maintenance districts will save the county about $34,000 a year in administrative costs, a county Department of Public Works spokeswoman said last week.
The City Council on Thursday agreed to the county’s plan to combine the areas. If approved by the County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, the plan would go into effect Jan. 1.
