PERSISTENCE: It wasn’t all smiles for AST Research of Irvine at the Comdex computer show in Las Vegas. Outside, three pickets held signs declaring, “AST. You moved without paying rent.” . . . It was Kwan Han’s picketers again. One of them said that over the past 10 months Han has paid them to picket AST’s headquarters and executives’ homes. . . . Han, a property manager in Irvine, insists AST broke its lease last year. AST officials had no comment.
