Santa Monica : Work by Aviation Artist

Douglas Ettridge, an artist specializing in the depiction of historic aviation events, will show a collection of more than 25 paintings at the Museum of Flying Nov. 29 to Dec. 5.

Ettridge will be working on a new painting at the museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during that period and will be available to answer questions.

Among the art pieces on display will be Ettridge’s painting of Gen. Jimmy Doolittle’s victory in the Schneider Trophy Race on Oct. 25, 1925, when Doolittle flew a Curtiss R3C-2.

The museum is located at 2772 Donald Douglas Loop North, south on 28th Street from Ocean Park Boulevard. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and disabled people, $2 for students and $1 for children.
