Boeing Gets Orders for Five More 737s

Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services has ordered five more Boeing 737-500 airliners, worth about $150 million, Boeing Commercial Airplane Group announced.

Two of the five aircraft have already been delivered, one to Europe Aero Service, a French carrier, and the other to Balkan Bulgarian Airlines.

Ansett Worldwide, an Australian leasing company, has now announced orders for 86 Boeing jetliners, including 55 737s, 22 757s and nine 767s.

For the year, Boeing has announced orders for 460 aircraft, with an approximate value of $41.5 billion.
