Black Sea for Dolphins

ANKARA, Turkey —
Disease and pollution are killing dolphins in the Mediterranean, but those in the cleaner Black Sea are thriving, a Turkish marine biologist said in remarks published Thursday.
Prof. Sumru Unsal said there are 450,000 dolphins in the Black Sea. Soviet researchers previously put the figure at 100,000.
