TV and Print Merge: In a move that could signal a new trend in ventures between TV and print journalism, Time magazine and PBS’ “MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour” have reached an agreement to use Time correspondents as occasional reporters on the nightly newscast. The plan is only in the experimental stages, but the idea would be for a Time correspondent or photographer to carry a video camera on assignment, filing an on-camera report for the “NewsHour” as well as reporting for the magazine.
