Kmart Corp.: The Troy, Mich., retailing giant said its third-quarter profit edged up 2% to $105.9 million. Revenue rose 12% to $7.6 billion. The company said income from its newly acquired Pace Membership Warehouse and Sports Authority chains helped offset the effects of a slowing economy.
