Share

National Health Care Systems Inc., the Irvine-based prepaid dental plan company, posted a third-quarter loss of $372,000, contrasted with year-earlier net income of $51,000. Revenue rose 50%, to $3.6 million from $2.4 million.

The company lost $58,000 during the first nine months of 1990, contrasted with net income of $229,000 in the year-earlier period. Revenue rose 49%, to $10 million from $6.7 million.

National Health Care attributed the losses to the termination of its indemnity product lines due to disputed legal interpretations and to an increase in its cash reserve.
