Titan Women Beat the Bruins

Senior center Genia Miller had 24 points and 13 rebounds Wednesday to lead the Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball team to a 78-63 nonconference victory over UCLA at Titan Gym.

Miller, who played only 28 minutes before fouling out with 2:38 remaining, also had three steals and two blocked shots. Junior forward Claudette Jackson added 19 points, junior guard Joey Ray had 10 points and junior guard Michelle Hennessey had 10 assists for Fullerton (2-1).

Rehema Stephens had 27 points and 12 rebounds, and Nicole Young had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Bruins (0-3), who shot 35.7% from the field (25 for 70) and turned the ball over 30 times.
