SHORT TAKES : Adam Rich Given Probation

TV actor Adam Rich, who played one of Dick Van Patten’s kids on the series “Eight is Enough,” pleaded guilty to drunken driving and was put on probation for five years.

Municipal Court Judge Judith Stein gave him an additional two years over the standard three years of probation Thursday and limited him to driving only to and from work for the next three months. He was arrested Oct. 6.
