The U.S. Treasury Department has agreed to allow ABC have exclusive rights to televise the 1991 Pan American Games from Cuba to the United States. The games are scheduled for August.
The agreement settles a six-month-old lawsuit in which a federal judge in New York upheld the Treasury Department’s right to block the network from paying Cuba a rights fee for the games. Details were not disclosed.
