Culver City : City Hall Project Liaison
The City Council has designated Gary Audet, director of municipal services, to be the staff project manager for the design development phase of the construction of the new city hall.
Audet will act as the liaison among the project’s architect, CHCG Inc.; the construction manager, Jones Construction Management, and the city. His duties will include coordinating decisions and recommendations by other city staff for the building design during the next three years.
The architect is scheduled to present preliminary plans for the city hall complex to the council in two weeks. The plans will show basic floor plans and describe overall building functions. It will be the job of Audet and others to work out office layouts, select many of the finishing materials and decide on aesthetic details.
A City Hall Advisory Team composed of Mayor Steven Gourley, City Councilman Mike Balkman and other key department heads will also help make design decisions.
