CORPUS CHRISTI, Tex. —
A judge ordered a newspaper reporter to jail today for refusing to reveal all of her conversations with a murder defendant.
State District Judge Eric Brown found reporter Libby Averyt of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times in contempt of court Thursday for refusing to answer a defense attorney’s inquiries about her interviews with Jermarr Arnold.
Arnold faces trial in the 1983 slaying of 21-year-old jewelry store clerk Christina Sanchez.
