Swim Center Will Close for Repairs
The Olympic Swim Center in Cerritos will close for repairs over the holiday season, reopening Jan. 19. The regular aerobics class schedule, however, will continue while pool repairs are being done.
Shasta Industries of Phoenix, Ariz., was recently awarded a $278,500 contract for the work at the center, which is on 166th Street next to Cerritos Park East.
Two pool bulkheads will be replaced, permanent tile lane markers will be installed, damaged tiles and underwater lights will be replaced and the pool plaster will be cleaned. The public address system also will be renovated.
