VENTURA : Grant Proposals Sought by Agency
The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging is seeking grant proposals from organizations to provide social services to the county’s senior citizens.
About $10,000 is available for one-time-only financing or operating expenditures for programs serving the elderly.
“We are looking for grant proposals that will serve those who are frail or provide some kind of in-home services,” said Joann Wilson, grants manager of the agency. “It’s not a large amount of money, but it will allow for capital expenditures.”
The agency expects to have the money from the federal government by March 15.
Grant applications can be picked up at the Area Agency on Aging in Ventura beginning today. Completed applications are due in the agency’s office no later than 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28.
