Matsushita Secures MCA Funds: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said it has lined up most of the financing needed to complete its $6.59-billion purchase of MCA Inc. The funding package is being assembled by a Matsushita subsidiary, Panasonic Finance Inc. Financing reportedly will come from a variety of local and foreign lenders. The Japanese company plans to contribute an additional $1 billion from its own cash reserves.
