Isaac Mitton Stewart, 85, former president of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. A graduate of UCLA, Stewart earned a law degree from George Washington University and practiced law in Washington. During World War II, he was involved in the Manhattan Project to develop the atomic bomb. Stewart was president of Union Carbide Corp. from 1949 to 1967. He presided over the famous choir from 1962 to 1975. In Indian Wells, Calif., on Friday of complications of old age.
