A serial bank robber known to police as the “masked bandit” struck a seventh time in San Diego County since Nov. 2, authorities said.

The robber demanded money Tuesday from a teller at Union Bank in the 1800 block of Cable Street in Pacific Beach at 2:40 p.m., said San Diego Police spokesman Bill Robinson. Robinson said the bandit had robbed the same bank Nov. 27.

Another bank struck twice by the bandit was Security Pacific in the 4100 block of El Cahon Boulevard, robbed by an armed man that fit the description of the “masked bandit” on Nov. 6 and Dec. 3, he said. “So he’s a double-double dipper.”

The robber brandishes a gun and uses a paper or canvas bag to hold the money, Robinson said.
