An Oxnard man has pleaded guilty in the Sept. 28 robbery of Security Pacific National Bank on North Ventura Road in Oxnard.
Anthony Ray, 32, stole $7,765 but had no time to spend any of the money, officials said. An Oxnard police officer saw Ray making a getaway from the robbery and he was arrested after a chase, said Gary Auer, supervisor of the Ventura FBI office.
Ray pleaded guilty Thursday before U.S. District Judge Harry L. Hupp to bank robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of the robbery. He is scheduled for sentencing Feb. 11. The maximum sentence is 25 years and a $10,000 fine.
