San Marino : City Manager Resigns
City Manager John E. Nowak, who earlier this month was reassigned in his duties by the City Council, has announced his resignation after 3 1/2 years in the $62,400 post.
On Wednesday, Nowak, 39, had said he had no immediate plans to leave his job. But on Thursday, he said he had been offered the post of city manager in Lawndale, pending formal action by officials there.
Since Dec. 1, Administrative Services Officer Keith Till has been serving as San Marino’s acting city manager while Nowak was reassigned to legal and administrative issues.
