Decrease in SSI Payments

My rent goes up 5% on Jan. 1. Prices for food, toiletries, pet supplies and transportation are rising as much as 10%. I have virtually no budget for recreation.
It feels like a double burden to have a severe medical illness and in addition not receive a cost-of-living increase. Such an increase would help me continue to live independently and with dignity.
