Media Doomsayers Do Not Help Home Sales

Your doom and gloom article about the housing market “Dealing With the Downturn” (Dec. 2) is the talk of every real estate sales person, home seller and buyer.

What was the purpose of spreading this kind of adverse and catastrophic information, anyway? You know, you could have published a more positive article that explained that this may not be a seller’s market, but is a buyer’s market.

With each discouraging real estate picture painted by writers at The Times, the longer we and others like us must wait to get on with our lives and plans. We must sell our home because of job transfer and a once in a lifetime opportunity.
