LYON, France — The 22nd and possibly decisive game of the world chess championship between titleholder Gary Kasparov and challenger Anatoly Karpov was postponed a second time, the organizers announced Sunday.
A technical timeout was called so the game would not be played today, Christmas Eve. The game is now scheduled for Wednesday.
Kasparov leads the series 11 1/2 to 9 1/2. He needs only a draw to retain the title.
